Stripes & Leather: The Perfect Look For Less

I love (p)leather, skinny jeans and stripes and overall the rock n’ roll look and feel of clothes, so when I saw this outfit, I fell in love. This is what I wear on the rainy days of fall and winter and accessorize it in different ways for different occasion.

At the moment, and for the past six of months, I’ve been really crazy about leather patches on leggings and jeans. Last fall, I was in Paris where I bout this gorgeous biker leather jacket which was definitely not a bad investment, and in this outfit both these loves of mine are combined.

The sound of a leather jacket and leather patches on your pants may sound a bit too biker chick-ish, but paired up with some suede booties and a simple striped t-shirt or sweater, gives the look just the right day-feel, making it more trendy and not at all dated. If you want to add more color to this look, pair it with a soft pink blouse. The look will still be rock n’ roll, but with a feminine touch.

Pair this look with some simple shoes and a handbag with not too many details, because both the jacket, the leather patches and the stripes are detail enough as it is.

The look I was inspired by is from Net-A-Porter and the outfit (excl. the handbag and the rings) is $ 4175 – which is quite a lot of money, even for such beautiful items, so here is a look for less with exactly the same feel of rock n’ roll… The entire look (incl. the handbag and the rings) is $ 1165.

P.S. this look is so simple that you could probably achieve it for even less than the amount of money I used to create it…
