These boots are actually quite the opposite… They’re brand new and my first pair of Dr Martens and seeing as I love shoes, I had to add them to my modest collection. These iconic leather boots have been popular for many years and best known for being the favorite shoe of the Britih punk scene! They’re very rock n roll, they’re edgy and they’re maybe most of all practical. The boots were invented by Klaus Märtens – a doctor in the German army during World War II. He injured his ankle while skiing and found that his standard-issue army boots were too uncomfortable on his injured foot and that’s how the boots came to life… This expalin the strong military feel of the boots.
I myself like wearing Dr Martens with feminine items like skirts and dresses. the dresses and skirts become less girly and feminine, while the boots become more soft and less masculine. A perfect match! Do you own a pair of Dr Martens boots? I chose the classic, black ones, but they come in a range of colors and even though they’re perfect for winter, these boots can substitu summer shoes any day with a pair of cut off denim shorts!
