Oversized Trends: Scarves, Rings, Bags and Cardigans

This season everything seems to be oversized; the clothes, the accessories, the jewelry…

What you need to consider when choosing  an oversized item is the rest of your outfit. Don’t overdo it – you may end up looking bulky, but if worn right, these oversized items will both give you a more casual, personal and fashionable look!

Oversized Scarves

I love these! They’re comfy and warm and they make you look great. Choose a colourful scarf or a scarf with a great pattern to get you through the winter looking hot and happy. The winter wardrobe tends to be a little darker and boring, so use a scarf in a great colour to open your outfit up!

Oversized Cardigans

For some time now, leggings and jeggings have been a hit in women’s fashion. They are comfortable, sexy, casual – all at the same time. However, as I wrote about earlier, you don’t want to be showing your behind in very tight, almost see-through leggings and that’s where oversized cardigans come into the picture! They’re great for covering things up, being warm and looking fashionable!

Oversized Bags

This season the bags have gone across body and over the usual size. If you’re a petite girl choose a bag that doesn’t “swallow” you. You can still wear an oversized bag, but do choose the across body bags as it will fold around you hip and won’t look too big. If you’re not a petite girl, choose an oversized shoulder bag. They look great and will actually make you look smaller.

Oversized Rings

I love accessorizing and I usually do it with a ring. My work wardrobe is primarily black and grey, so in order not to look too conservative and boring I choose fun accessories that make the outfit more personalized. I love wearing rings – I’m not really a necklace person. This season the rings are getting bigger and bigger and a lot of animals are making their way onto our fingers. These oversized ring will make a statement and make the feel of your outfit completely different!

OMG I missed your posts so much! I was wondering when you were going to write the next one!

Yeah I’ve noticed that jewelry seems to be getting bigger and bigger, and well pretty much everything else you mentioned on this post is getting bigger too! With winter here, I’m totally in love with the scarves! They are very cute and so fashionable! And I’m really into the over-sized cardigans and sweaters with leggings look too. :)

I love to wear scraves because i think that they are a great accessory! They offer an alternative way to the total outfit! I also like the big rings…

This is a fashion statement for young and old alike. The form-fitting trends are only for the young (sigh), and slim. This trend includes us all.
