Lately I’ve noticed feathers appearing more and more in hair accessories! And I’m loving them. Think Charleston 2009. They’re feminine, elegant and daring all at the same time. And tacky if not worn right! You don’t wanna go near feather boas for instance!
Now, you don’t want to look like you just woke up from a 1920s coma or a peacock, so let the headband be the main accessory, by letting the black colour dominate the rest of your outfit. You can style up any business suit, by wearing a nice hair accessory – I would reccomend wearing a headbnd in the style of ModCloth’s (no. 5 on the picture below) as it is not too feathery for work! This accessory will give you a stylish look! Drew Barrymore looks great with her feather blending well in with her hair!

I have trouble equating that with business. But for a night out or for everyday wear, these are fabulous!
Thanx for your comment, Susan! The thing is that unlike 20 years ago a business woman doesn’t have to wear a skirt and a jacket to match in order to look the part and be taken serious. Today, business woman accessorize their work look and are stylish and formal at the same time. In order to stay true to your personal style, but still remain formal, you can choose an accessorie like the small feather headband in the picture. It’s not business, but what is? It’s what we make of it. And why not make it personal! :)

I always see girls at my school wearing these and they look very cute! I still have yet to try it but I’m just afraid i will look funny LOL. I think I will have to start with something similar to #5. The best part is that they look cute and aren’t very expensive.
Just jump into it! I have a smaller one too – from H&M – it goes well with black outfits – it gives it something extra! :)

You will never guess what I did!… I ended up going to the store today, thought about your post, and bought me a feather hair headband… and you know how i told you i was going to start with something small like a #5 'cause it just wasn't my thing? Well, I ended getting something like a #7 and the best part… I love it! :) Oh how I love change!
Aww that’s awsome! That’s the way to go. I love change and trying new things when it comes to fashion! It’s funny how we sometimes think that we don’t like something or that it’s not our thing and it turns out that it feels great wearing it!
