Summer is upon us and it’s a great time to put together colorful outfits and beautiful materials. If you, like many others, continuously think to yourself ”I wish I was better at using color” you’ve come to the right place. Getting a colorful wardrobe takes time and a new state of mind. Maybe you’re just not that colorful, when it comes to clothes? Maybe, you’ve just been making ‘safe’ decisions while shopping. Here are two looks that will give you a helping hand on your way to a more colorful wardrobe.
Denim Shorts Look
Wear a classic polka-dotted, or striped top with a pair of summer staples – cut off denim shorts – and a classic leather across body bag, but add a pair of colorful shoes, which will make the color-statement, that you are looking for. A nail polish in a contrast color will add a summer vibe to the whole look.
Feminine Summer Dress
Now to a more classic look… If you love beautiful dresses, but tend to reach for the neutral one, try to find one in a soft summer color. This dress is as neutral as any, but it will still make your look more colorful. Add some unconventional accessories, the keyhole sunglasses, to make the feminine look more edgy. Add a pair of hot pink earrings, and you’ve already created a fun summer outfit! The sandals are classic with a twist!
Do you wear colors?
I am one of those people who would really love to use more color, but I always end up wearing neutral tones. I use the above mentioned methods to incorporate color into my (at least) summer looks and so far, I’m loving it. Step, by step the wardrobe is starting to brighten up!
